Floral Wax Seal Necklace

This pendant necklace is made using a combination of two ancient techniques - melting and pressing wax with a signet ring to make wax seals, and lost wax casting to turn those seals into silver. The wax seals are made by hand in my Scottish Borders studio, and they are cast into silver by another small business in Argyll. I then polish them and turn them into pendants in my studio.

As every piece is made individually by hand, every pendant has its own unique shape with variations. There may be markings on the back of the pendant from the seal making process.

This pendant is made from 100% recycled sterling silver, recycled from x-ray film in the UK.

The 18" (45cm) chain is made in Italy from 100% recycled silver.

An occasional polish with a silver polishing cloth will keep your earrings looking bright.

Your necklace will come in a recyclable black jewellery box, branded with a silver foil Lily Carmen Jewellery logo. The foam the necklace is held in is made from a paper industry byproduct (nonrecyclable). Your box will be cushioned in tissue for safety and a lovely unboxing experience.
