Floral Wax Seal Earrings

These earrings are made using a combination of two ancient techniques - melting and pressing wax with a signet ring to make wax seals, and lost wax casting to turn those seals into silver. The wax seals are made by hand in my Scottish Borders studio, and they are cast into silver by another small business in Argyll. I then polish them and turn them into earrings in my studio.

As every piece is made individually by hand, every earring has its own unique shape with variations. There may be markings on the back of the seals from the stamping process.

These earrings are made from 100% recycled sterling silver, recycled from x-ray film in the UK.

An occasional polish with a silver polishing cloth will keep your earrings looking bright.

Your earrings will come in a recyclable black jewellery box, branded with a silver foil Lily Carmen Jewellery logo. The foam the earrings are held in is made from a paper industry byproduct (nonrecyclable). Your box will be cushioned in tissue for safety and a lovely unboxing experience.
